Residential Solar
Home Solar, Designed for Real Life in Bangladesh
For most homes, the real problem is not just the electricity bill — it is load-shedding. That is why FSP recommends hybrid solar systems with battery backup for residential clients, unless you specifically need an on-grid system.
System Sizes
Typical Home Systems: 1kW to 6kW
These are general ranges — your actual system size depends on your real load list.
1–2 kW
Lights, fans, TV, router — essential backup for daily life during outages.
3–4 kW
Essentials plus refrigerator and more rooms — the most common family choice.
5–6 kW
Larger homes, partial AC or motor support — subject to proper hybrid design.
Design Inputs
What Decides Your System — and Your Price
1. Your Load List
A correct design starts with knowing exactly which appliances you want to run during backup — how many lights, fans, refrigerator, TV, pump, etc. — and for how many hours.
2. Backup Hours & Battery Sizing
Battery capacity is calculated from your backup load × backup hours, plus charging loss, inverter loss, and a cloudy-weather safety margin. Undersized batteries fail early — FSP sizes them correctly from day one.
3. Roof Space & Future Growth
Roughly 65–80 sq. ft. of shadow-free roof per kW of panels is needed. We also plan for your future load growth so the system does not become obsolete in two years.
